PC to TV Converter
Sometimes you just want to have what’s on your laptop appear on your TV. Not Netflix, not Hulu plus, not Google TV. Just raw unadulterated internet content.
One such example would be live sports. There are a lot of streaming sources that might provide access to games not broadcast locally. And you don’t want everyone to have to crowd around your laptop to watch.
If you have an older TV or older PC/laptop without HDMI interfaces this can be tricky to do. My IBM thinkpad has an S-video connector that in theory can be connected directly to my old RCA TV. But getting it to appear on my video input was tricky.
One easy way around it is with an inexpensive PC to TV converter like the one shown. Make sure you buy one with integrated audio. There are a lot of cheapo models that deal with only video for reasons I don’t understand. The one shown integrates the audio, bundles all the cables together into one, and gets good ratings on Amazon.
