Streaming Landing of NASA’s Curiosity rover on Mars

This is just vaguely cord cutter related, but I’m posting it because it’s so cool.  And it does involve some streaming video that does not require a cable subscription.

Tonight at about 10:31 PDT Nasa’s new rover Curiousity is scheduled to land on the surface of Mars. Unlike previous rovers this landing is using a new fast  breaking technique described as 7 minutes of terror. This sounds incredibly risky and complicated to me, but I’m hoping for the best.

Good Luck Curiosity!

Update 8-6-12: Successfull landing. Great job NASA and JPL.
